Continuous Temperature Logging Services
View PDF brochure
Continuous temperature logs are used to digitally record wellbore temperature versus depth. Comparison of temperature anomalies to the normal geothermal gradient provides valuable information about the location and nature of fluid movement around the tool and behind the pipe.
The temperature log is used to determine the location of fluid entry into casing or tubing, the location of channeling behind the pipe, and the location of lost circulation zones. The sensor can also help distinguish between liquid and gas entry into the wellbore.
Tool Applications:
- Locating liquid or gas entry points
- Detecting leaks
- Detecting channels behind pipe
- Locating lost circulation zones
- Determining bottomhole temperature
Combinable Tools:
- Gamma Ray (GR) Tool
- Casing Collar Locator (CCL) Tool
- Pressure While Perforating (PWP) Tool
- Audio Tool
