Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) Systems
TCP ExampleView pdf brochure

TETRA tubing conveyed perforating (TCP) systems provide safe, efficient, and effective perforations to optimize well productivity. These scalloped-gun perforating systems can be used to perforate long intervals of casing in highly deviated, underbalanced and hostile well environments.

Compatible with a wide variety of other tools and completion equipment, our TCP equipment allows for a customized approach in designing TCP systems to precisely match customer completion needs. Gun systems can be run on workstring, completion string, or coiled tubing. TETRA TCP systems are intrinsically safe and are not affected by radio waves or static electricity.

TCP Benefits:

  • Provides a more uniform shot distribution pattern than multiple, overlapping runs with conventional wireline conveyed guns
  • Allows back surging to clean the perforations immediately after firing to remove drilling mud, cement, and other debris from perforation tunnel
  • Allows safe, reliable perforating in heavy muds, high hole deviations, and through restrictions in tubing strings
  • Facilitates subsequent slickline work, production logging, or reservoir stimulation without removal of the tubing string

Available Equipment:

  • Absolute and Differential Pressure Activated Firing Systems with Time-delay Options
  • Safety Impact (Drop-bar) Activated Firing Systems
  • Redundant Annulus Pressure Activated Firing Systems
  • Radioactive Locator Sub for Accurate Depth Control
  • Automatic and Mechanical Gun Releases
  • Analog Shot Detection System
  • Engineered Perforation Performance Analysis
